What is something funny/ridiculous i could wear to a formal dance?

I dont want to spend money on formal wear just to be generic, what would be some funny outfits to wear to a high school formal? Something i could get cheap and easy would be good. The more ridiculous the better. haha good ideas im prob gunna hit up the old thrift store also im a guy

1. At my band formal I wore a collared shirt, tie, pants, dark shoes. Basically, I dressed like a guy. People reacted to it, if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise I would suggest wearing pajama pants and a really loose tshirt, and see how long you last before they kick you out.

3. go to a second hand store an get something ridiculous like a crazy tie or overalls. and be sure u don't match
4. wear crazy hair, and a tutu with a tiara or a bandana have fun!!!
