Women Wedding Suits

If you are going to a party, prom, wedding, cocktail party or whatever, how important is it that your DATE mat?

Do you like your man or women to match? Like say you are wearing a purple dress, do u want your date to wearing a purple shirt or suit?? And I mean how hard is it to find matching outfits?

  1. uh....................i would think only at a wedding i would want to match, but just like the dress and tie or flowers or something like that. and its really easy to find too.
  2. Yes, I would want my boyfriend to match. I think it'd be nice. & it's not that hard...
  3. It's nice to match to some extent - especially if you are having picutres taken - however it doesn't have to be exact colour matches - just something that compliments what each person is wearing. For example, the last wedding I went to with my husband he wore a light blue shirt with black suit and black tie and I wore a bright blue dress with black shoes and bag. The colouring wasn't the exactly the same but it still matched. It's nice to do that just to show you are there as a couple - but certainly not essential.
  4. i think that people only match at very fancy things like prom and weddings, maybe another black tie event. the only reason i can think of - that you would even want to match - is in the event that you were going to be in a formal picture. otherwise it will probably go unnoticed. I would not go as far as a solid color matching shirt or a suit. the guy could wear a matching tie thought, or just a pocket square. it could be a matching detail color in a shirt if the shirt had very thin purple stripes. it's not something that would actually cross my mind, personally, but it's not a DON'T. It is something you don't want to over do though.
