what neckline on a wedding dress is well suited for women with bigger breasts?

I have 38 DD size breasts and when i get married in November i want a dress that will compliment my figure.most of dresses in bridal shops are strapless dresses and im not sure if a strapless would be good for me because i dont want to be falling out of it.i havent started trying things on yet but i want to get an idea before i start looking.any suggestions?

  1. V necks flatter bigger breasts. Stay away from high necks or strapless dresses that show too much skin. Have an awesome day!
  2. My dress was a scoop neck with cap sleeves.
  3. You can wear a strapless if you want, just make sure that its high enough over the breasts so that it covers the entire breast. The seamstress should be able to tell you if the dress is proper for that kind of fit. I like V necks too, or sweetheart necklines, the same warnings apply make sure you are covered. One other thing I've seen that's pretty is a lace bolero over a strapless dress, that may work for you too.
  4. Halter or anything with straps will hold the girls in place all night. Good luck
  5. Buy the dress of your dreams. Bolero jackets are in, and you can get a cute one made for the wedding. That's what this dd girl is doing:)
  6. At Macy's+ JCPENNEY they sell a minimizing strapless bra (although it comes with attachable straps) by Lilyette. That bra changed my life. I have DD's too, and had to fit into a strapless as a bridesmaid. I picked up that bra and I went from feeling totally uncomfortable in the dress, to confident and perfect. I then used the same bra in my wedding dress. Once the "ladies" are contained appropriately, you can go try on any dress that you like.
  7. a halter style works best. or something with straps like a 2 or 3 inch "tank" style strap or even cap sleeves. stay away from strapless and anything with a plunging neckline. you dont want the boobies hanging out.
  8. I'm also a 38 dd and thought strapless would be awful on me, but when i went trying on dresses i ended up going with strapless. Just make sure it fits your waist properly as it's your waist that holds up the dress, not your boobs! once it fits properly the girls will stay covered, or if you wanted to make sure you could get cap sleeves fitted. I can't stress enough how important it is that dress fits properly though, i was at a wedding recently where the bride spent the day pulling up her dress...not a good look any day never mind your wedding day!
  9. You would be surprised how well a strapless gown might look on you. You would just need to try some on. If you still feel a little body conscious you might try a halter gown.
  10. A sweetheart, V-neck, or scoop neck are flattering but you should avoid a high neckline as it will make your bust look bigger. Also steer clear of halter-top styles and keep your neckline and bust line simple. It's best to avoid large embellishments, heavy bead-work or other large details on the bodice. If you decide to go strapless, GET A GOOD STRAPLESS BRA! As for dress shapes, most brides agree that an A-line silhouette highlights an hourglass figure the best. A drop waist is another style that will help to elongate your waist and define the area between our bust line and hips. AVOID EMPIRE WAIST DRESSES. Wearing this style with large breasts can make you look pregnant. Don't waste you time with this style and stay focused on looking for a wedding dress that flatters a big bust. Above all, the best style dress for you would be a corset style dress because it offers support and streamlines your silhouette. Moderate fullness in the skirt is a good thing for busty brides because it will balance out top-heaviness although the fullness offered by an A-line or princess cut is very flattering to women of all body shapes. If you like dresses with embellishments, the skirt is the place to have them because it will become the focal point and help minimize the bust size. http://www.essensedesigns.com/dress-208 http://sophiatolli.com/item/?i=Y2817 http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3345 http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=S5245 http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=winona&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=15&style=R1064 http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=R1084 http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1303SK
