is "grey" formal woman suit ok to wear for an afternoon wedding?

2. I'm not sure what you mean by "formal" woman's suit. Most women's suits are business style dress. If that is the style you feel most comfortable in, I'm sure it will be fine. However, ladies usually wear summer (light colored) dresses to summer afternoon weddings. If you don't want to buy a new outfit for the wedding you might consider leaving the jacket at home and wearing a pretty shirt with the grey bottom. Then add a pretty summer scarf or jewelry to bring the outfit together . (just wondering what makes the suit formal)
3. It would be OK but could be hot in the summer. I might look for a dress to wear that might be a bit cooler and more colorful for an afternoon wedding in the summer months. IF this wedding is in the fall or winter than your grey suit would be very nice indeed.
4. grey is not really fitting for an afternoon wedding.
5. Is it grey or silver? Is it a pretty (church-like) suit or an office-like suit? I think that if it's silvery grey and is a pretty/fancy fabric, and you're a mature woman, it would be appropriate.
