Ladies, a fahion Q?
I'm going to meet about her entire family this weekend at her cousin's wedding. It's a pretty big deal, and I can tell how seriously she's taking it. She's pretty nervous, so I would rather take my outfit into my own hands, for multiple reasons. What do you think I should go with? I plan on a suit, but what colors? She has auburn, but more towards red hair, brown eyes, and wearing a fairly elegant black and white dress with a lace trim under the breasts. I have dirty blond hair, hazel eyes, and am looking for something colorful, but not over the top. What would you suggest?

- Maybe you should go with a black suit, and a red tie or something for color. Blonde, black and red look good together. It'll be totally like Brad Pitt in Meet Joe Black! You should watch that movie for ideas or search the web. Celeb guys have personal stylists that know a lot about colors. Good Luck! You'll be fine! :)
- doesn't matter TOO much about the colour, so long as it suits you. but make it DARK. if she's wearing black and white you don't want to be flourescent! maybe dark blue? or you could wear a normal black suit and have a really colourful shirt/tie - that could be really nice, show a bit of personality but not scare off the old rellies?! good luck!
- ooo the whoole family huh? well i think that you shouldnt wear a suit. def wear a nice shirt and a simple tie. with a guy with dirty blonde hair i think you should go with a blue button down shirt a silver tie and black pants with black shoes. you dont wanna be over dressed espically becasue you dont know these people yet. so yea go with that. and idk tell me what you think about that!
- a suit you say? that sounds good seeing as its a wedding and all. but if you want to add some color and don't want to go over the top, try a colorful tie. blue? purple? orange? whatever color suits you and doesn't look tacky :-D hope i helped!
- Is the wedding in the day or evening? IMHO, you can never go wrong with a black (or navy suit) with a crisp white shirt and colorful tie...since she is wearing black, maybe you should also... PLEASE, make sure your shoes are shined, not scuffed and look good...many a "Dad" will decide on whether he likes a man or not...by what attention to detail he gives his shoes...
- yeah, maybe a suit, or some slacks and a nice shirt, with a nice jacket. just something to match her, but nothing over the top.
- I'd say go with a nice traditional suit. A nice charcoal grey or dark blue suit. If you want to add to the color add it into the tie. She seems to be going with a traditional style black dress. You do not want to overpower her. Wear something that will compliment her. Something that will draw everyone's eyes toward you two as a couple. Let you and her be the second couple in the crowd to be noticed, second to the bride and groom, of course.
- Alway's black. Remember your girlfriend is wearing the same. Have a grear time and enjoy.
- You really should get her input. You say she is really nervous and she knows all the details we wouldn't ( formal? really formal? Climate?) all those little things we take into consideration when getting dressed. Letting her help you will make her a little less nervous knowing that you won't show up in something horribly inappropriate or garish (no offense). You can pick something out together so that if you really don't like something, you just say no. Then go out to dinner after and both of you can relax. Good luck and most importantly, be yourself.
- a white suit would make u look like a pimp :) but if u dont wanna wear that wear a black one. u guys should match it would b cute!!
- I suggest a black blazer w/ a white button down shirt, unbuttoned just a little, and black slacks w/ black shoes to match, make sure the shoes have NO shine to them it will take away from your outfit...stay cool and casual, don't be nervous.
- GO WITH A MEDIUM BLUE SUIT IT IS SPRING!
