Wedding buttonholes question?

What side of the suit is a lady supposed to wear a buttonhole please?

1. I think it is the left for most people, but I guess it's not too important (and I guess it'll depend if they wear a shoulder bad and if so, what side). The last wedding I went to, the ladies wore them on their bags anyway.
2. Buttonholes for women are on the right. But are you talking about a corsage, flower? that is on the left side closest to the heart. You mean Boutonniere, and that is what the men wear. That is what their flower is called.
3. If you're looking down,like when you're wearing it, it's on the right side.
