Wedding Guest Lady Attire?
Ok this might sound a bit well weird. I'm 18, and I've been invited to my friends mothers wedding. I've known the family for a good few years now and well I mean I'm travelling two states to go. Already have my reservations at a hotel, and they've met my boyfriend plenty of times. He knows what to wear, cause guys just have to wear a suit and tie. Me on the other hand, I haven't been to a wedding since I was 10, and I don't even remember what I wore. Now that I'm 18, I'm lookin for a dress. I know that the season the wedding in depends on the attire to Wear. The wedding is happening in May at 2. Not to sound egotistical or anything, but I have shape that makes just about every dress I wear, sexy, even my prom dress looked good on me and it was traditional. I don't want to outshine the bride, but I also don't want to wear something that'll look bad. Any suggestions?

- maybe a retro 60's dress with black leggings and peeptoe shoes. or a v neck wrap dress (bright colours) and a pair or strappy or chunky heels
- are you going to the church or just the reception? DO NOT dress like you are going to a high school dance. Dress with class, with taste and you can be sexy without having a dress short as your hoo hoo and as low as your whoa whoas. dress like youre going to be in their wedding pictures and you dont want them to look back at them like "oh my Lord, look at that hoochie!!!" Ask your mother. Just DO NOT wear white (its too early anyway) and dont go in all black. even a pantsuit and dress it up with hair and jewelry. if you have tattoos, cover them up as well.
- If you go with a shorter, tea-length dress (knee-length) you shouldn't outshine the bride because it will lack the overall formality. Because you're young you can get away with a more informal dress and look cute and girly - dressing it up fashionably with accessories and hair done up (think a simple string of pearls for a necklace, for instance). If you want to dress really formally and in a very adult fashion you could wear a skirt suit. This will also not allow you to outshine the wedding party because while professional and formal, it lacks the dressy-formality of a full-length dress. Because it's in the afternoon you can go with lighter colors, shorter sleeves, and shorter skirts. These will also help to make the attire look more informal and suitable for a guest. Make sure that your clothes fit you and that it compliments you - you still get to show off you!
