No, unless the wedding is in Texas; then short-shorts and a tube top is almost necessary.
a normal suit, yes. I'm not so sure about a suit with shorts. I'm sure it's nice with the jacket on, but if it gets hot and you take it off, you're left in shorts and a top. A dress might be more comfortable for you.
Just put on some clothes and you'll be alright.
