HELP Prom dresses, 50's style?

Well its my prom on June 30th, it will be in a Marquee in Derbyshire (where i live) and quite mild weather. I will be 16 (just) and i need a dress. I live in England so nothing too cold, and something that i can buy here (basically not American etc.) Im about 5"7', size 10-12 and I want a knee length dress. No pattern please! I have naturally curly medium-brown hair and blue eyes, i would have red lipstick and minimal eye makeup (only mascara and eyeliner and maybe a tiny bit of eyeshadow) Any hair tips? My hair is quite long ( i don't know how to describe its length except that when it is curly its just below the bra at the back. But when it is straight it is just above the small of my back.) Size 10-12 and i'm quite curvy but with a small waist. (my dimensions are bust:38, Under-bust:32, Waist: 28, Hips:39) I'd like the dress to be Strapless or Halterneck but with a fitted bodice (maybe boned) and a full skirt. Also do you think that this is a good style of dress for me? Any shoe ideas? I was thinking maybe t-bar ones like this http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/asos-patent-t-bar-mid-heel-shoe-4 I don't want to wear heels higher than 3inches though, maybe red or black?
