What to wear to a wedding with a Biracial audience?

i am in a Biracial relationship.i am white,she is blk,we both are invited to youngsville,NC for a black wedding.the church might be surrounded by all men in blk suits,and women wearing other colors.i don't want my blk girlfriend to get mad at me for wearing the wrong thing.which is better drk brn pants with white shirt or blk pants with white shirt with clip-on tie or bow tie??drk blue button down shirt with or without tie??

1. how does race factor into figuring out what to wear? but anyway the black pants with the dark blue button down and a clip on tie sounds fine.
2. I 'm not understanding what you or your girlfriends ethnicity has to do with this. Unless there are cultural traditions and/or certain dress cods for the occasion, If you want to fit in and not feel like you stick out like a sore thumb, I would suggest asking your girlfriend or her family members what they will be wearing to the wedding. Whatever you do, don't say it's because you're white so you don't know what to wear to a black wedding. They will most likely be highly offended or laugh at you. Ask them if there's a specific dress code. For a wedding, my husband always goes with a nice light colored button-down dress shirt or a button down collared shirt with either khaki colored pants (not cargo pants) or black or blue slacks. If you really want to impress, ask what the wedding colors are and try to dress according to those. I'm sure your girlfriend would love to help you with this. I know I do with my husband.
