Wedding color thoughts and suggestions please?
I need some pallet ideas to incorporate pink, orange, light antique gold or ivory together in a very springy/ semi formal romantic fun event. The dress I want is very lacy but strapless and beautiful! The men can wear all black for their suits and the shirt in ivory. The women could even wear either black or champagne (a lil darker than the antique gold). I need help. Maybe add more colors or just give suggestions please.

- Men: antique gold for ties or bows. Women: champagne with orange embellishments. Flowers: Pink and ivory white ones. Your gown could be ivory white or nude. Reception Table and Chair covers: Ivory base and antique gold runners and sashes. Table napkins: Orange - slightly different than the dress embellishments. Lights at reception: Pinks. You can also tell your guests through your invites to come in either black, ivory, pink or orange attires.
- Your colors sound beautiful. And different but very spring! Do like a light pink and orange and do both the gold and ivory with it to keep it soft but the gold can be accents to the wedding. The girls dresses in champagne is really pretty with some pink and orange flowers. The guys in ivory shirts is nice but if you want them to have a tie and vest set it should be champagne like the girls and for the groom he should stay in ivory to match your dress. I have some links below on the colors I was talking about. I hope this helps you out alot and good luck. But most of all Congrats! http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic-493915-1.html - this is more of a fuchsia color with orange if you want to go for the bright look. http://www.projectwedding.com/photo/browse?photo_to_show=806&tag=orange http://www.google.com/images?expIds=25651,25900,25961,26119&sugexp=ldymls&q=orange+and+pink+wedding&cp=13&hl=en&rlz=1R2ADFA_enUS337&wrapid=tljp1282914422140121&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=drh3TPHCMYP7lwfbr4jsCw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CCwQsAQwAA&biw=1259&bih=842
- black on the women is going to be a pretty formal and heavy look....why not put them in the pink or orange or a combination of the two and give the guys a little touch of color with a pink or orange tie. pink and orange are very hot color combos right now....very popluar, so you should have no trouble finding things in those colors. of course the flowers can incorporate both colors. if you want to keep your wedding party more elegant, you can put the girls in champagne and bring in your colors with the flowers. same with the guys...black with ivory shirts and black ties and add the color with their boutonnieres.
- at most weddings they have 2 colors, 1 light and 1 dark. more than that and it's too busy. I wouldn't put pink & orange together but you can use them as accent colors with darker ones: pink & brown coral & silver etc
- Pink and orange can work, but I think they look nicest with blue or green as a counterbalance. No one ever said you could only choose two colors! I completely disagree with only two colors, 1 light, 1 dark. I think that's outdated. Very 80s and 90s. Don't be afraid of color!
